1978 Pontiac Trans-am. Martinique Blue. Black Lombardy cloth interior. L78 Pontiac 400 engine. Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission. Limited slip rear differential. Power Windows and locks. Tilt steering. Air conditoining. Rear defrost. WS-6 Suspension Package.The interior is in near perfect condition. No damage or stains whatsoever. The dash pad is unbelievably in great condition, proving this car has been out of the sun for a long time.The Exterior is extremely solid. There are No Rust holes to be found. There is some rust inside the car on the dash corners, which is the most common f body corrosion. See picture.The paint is very old. I bought this from the previous owner last year. She owned it since 1979. She drove it often until parking it in 1990. It sat in her garage until i bought it. There are a few minor dents and dings from being in her small garage.The speedo does not work and she stated that she thought it to have about 75000 miles on it. She said she hit someone and had to have the front bumper painted. The front bumper should have been replaced. It is deformed. I have a Mint condition front Bumper and Facia that will be included with this car. See Picture. I trailered it home and put fresh fuel in it, Changed enigne oil and filter, Replaced cracked rubber fuel lines, Replaced the fuel pump, Water pump, and timing chain. I replaced all the Vacuum lines. Replaced the battery. Replaced the Spark plugs, and cap and rotor. I replaced the exhaust system. It has Performance years downpipes, Flowmaster mufflers, and OEM style tail pipes. I cleaned and repacked the front wheel bearings, turned the rotors, and put new pads on.I installed new front shocks. I checked the front end over and everything is nice and tight and was greased. All the light bulbs have been changed and work properly. I restored the wheels and installed new centercaps and lugnuts. This car is Very complete. All the emissions are still there and working. The Catylitic converter and y pipe are probably the only things missing. Start it up cold with a couple pumps on the gas and she fires right up. Let it warm up and hit the gas again and she goes down to curb idle nice and smooth. No messing around trying to keep it running. This car has excellent drivability. It drives down the road nice,tight,and straight. The engine is nice and quiet and stays cool. The transmission shifts properly and does not slip. The rear posi works properly. All gauges work properly except the speedo. All accesories work properly. I never put a belt on the air conditioning. The compressor spins and there still is some freon in the system though. It has a nice and solid brake pedal and stops nicely.The trunk is all original,Rustfree, and dry. I would trust driving this to either coast. This could be a Awesome Trans am with a Paint job and decals. And you could go a little further by resealing and detailing the engine, and it would be very nice. I have restored 2 "Rust bucket" Trans ams, and i am posting a pic of one. The buyer was very happy with the car and my description.This one is worth every penny of what my reserve is.I am not going to finish this one due to financial issues. Feel free to ask any questions. No, the interior is definetly Black with no fading or color difference. I was using a very bright light while taking pictures and this made the fabric appear purple tinted.
