Vehicle Detail

After you read this you will probably agree this is the nicest Triumph Bobber you have seen in a long time. Unlike many other Triumph bobbers being sold today, this bike is a quality matching numbers antique Triumph TR6C and not just a bike assembled with unmatched or mismatched parts. This bike was built with quality in mind. At any bike night, this bike will draw a crowd. Matching numbers 1969 Triumph Trophy TR6C Custom Bobber Show Bike. Professionally painted Pearl White with Auto-Air "Hot Rod Sparkle White Pearl" base coat then cleared with DuPont ChromoClear. Black Triumph tank decals are under 4 coats of clear. This show quality paint job is fresh with no scratches or dings. My photos do not show the beauty of the pearl white paint. As mentioned, this is a matching (engine/frame) numbers Triumph. The 650cc twin cylinder unit construction engine and 4 speed transmission were professionally rebuilt by a noted Memphis Triumph engine builder. The engine crank cases were tumble polished then the entire engine was assembled from the crank up using new parts. On top the cylinders were bored .20 over and new pistons pins, and rings installed. The aluminum head was rebuilt using new valves and seals. The engine lower has new bearings, seals, and gaskets. New clutch hub and plates. Engine side covers have been polished. After rebuild, the bike was test driven approximately 300 miles with no oil leaks or problems of any kind. This engine is tight and right. After test riding, all sheet metal was removed for final painting. A brand new Amal 930 carburator and brand new reproduction gas tank was installed. The new gas tank was sealed inside with POR 15 prior to painting. No fuel has ever touched the gas tank or carburetor. This bike could be safely placed on display or in storage for years. The new Amal 930 concentric carburetor has a 230 main jet and 106 needle jet. A nice short velocity stack is installed. The carburetor has been adjusted to the factory specifications but may require a slight adjustment after starting. This can be achieved by finger turning the knurled brass air/throttle stop adjustment screws on the right side of the carburetor. See photo of carburetor. A hard to find Mullins Chain Drive aluminum kicker pedal was installed. A trick polished aluminum crankcase engine breather oil collecter is used to collect crankcase oil mist. The black powder coated frame is an unmolested front loop (diamond) section with a 4 inch bolt-on rear hard tail. Front and rear tires are brand new Avon Speedmasters. New front and rear chrome wheels with new stainless steel spokes. Rear wheel is 18 inch. Front wheel is 19 inch. New intertubes and rim strips. Both front and rear wheel have been balanced perfectly. New brake shoes and springs front and rear. New rear brake drum with new 46 tooth sprocket. New 530 Cycle Craft chain. Rear fender is an original Wassell "Made in England" 4.5 inch ribbed duck bill. Oil tank is Cali Chopper polished spun aluminum. Diamond pattern seat is custom made. Original folding footpegs with new Triumph rubber. New chrome UK made 1-3/4 inch drag style exhaust with Cycle Shack 10 inch baffles and Bitwell Silver Hollow Point tips. All chrome parts are freshly plated. Most fasteners are either chrome plated or stainless steel. Chrome acorn nuts used throughout. Front end is custom built using Bultaco/Betor 35mm tubes and 53mm lower sliders. Sliders have been shaved to remove fender tabs.Triple Tree, handlebar risers, and lower sliders are all powder coated in handsome wrinkle black. Tapered steering head roller bearings were installed. The 19 Inch front wheel has a 7 inch twin leading shoe style hub and brake plate. This front end was selected for its clean, unobstructed appearance and superior strength. Chrome clutch and brake levers as well as throttle and grips are all original NOS Doherty. Electronics consist of a Boyer Bransden System with a 12 volt 5 lb. gel battery and dual coils. This combination makes for easy and dependable starting. This Motorcycle comes with a clear Tennessee Title in my name. I will also provide a notorized bill of sale.
