Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This auction is for a red 1992 Chevrolet S10. This S10 is powered by the 5.7 Liter LT1 engine. It was swapped out of a mid 90’s Impala SS that had about 30,000 miles on it. The transmission is a 700R4. The odometer reads 108,000 which is accurate for the body, but not the engine. I am listing this truck for a co-worker. He bought this truck on ebay a few years ago. The previous owner did the engine/trans swap, and restored the exterior. Everything for the engine is hooked up correctly and works as it should. The truck does not smoke when it starts and runs perfect. The transmission shifts with no hesitation or problems. After buying it, the current owner, restored the interior by swapping out the bench seat for buckets and adding a center console. The interior (seats, dash etc.), is nearly flawless. Since owning the truck he has only put 2,000 miles on it. Most of the time it sits in his garage. There is a very small oil leak, I’ve added a picture of how much oil had dropped in the last 3 months ( since he’s had it out last). It has literally been 3 or 4 drops. The truck also has magnaflow exhaust, a spray on bedliner, chrome wheels, and tires with 8/32 tread (plenty of treadlife left). There is also an alarm system, I am not sure what brand it is, but it comes with a key fob to arm and disarm the alarm. There is an on and off switch for the electric fan so you can manually cool the engine as well. The shifter is a B&M Quick Shift. The stereos system has aftermarket GM speakers, and a JVC head unit. The hood scoop has been welded onto a hood that was cut to make room for the scoop. The truck is pretty much flawless, the paint looks great. There are no scratches, dings or dents. The truck does have cruise control, but does not work right now. It did before, so it’s probably the switch. That’s really the only negative thing about this truck. The truck is very fast. As you can imagine, no weight in the back end and a corvette engine up front means you’ll put it in the ditch if you don’t know how to drive it. The buyer will need to make a $200 deposit within 48 hours after the auction has ended. The remaining amount will be due within 7 days after the auction has ended. Feel free to ask any questions. I will run them by the owner and get back with you. On Sep-07-10 at 14:17:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: The cruise control does not work because the unit under the hood is missing. Evidently when they did the engine swap they did not install the cruise control unit. The picture with the oil leak shows more than one leak, those are from parking the car in slightly different locations. The darkest one in the middle is the one I am referring to where there has only been a few drops in the past few months. On Sep-07-10 at 14:37:35 PDT, seller added the following information: The truck has A/C, and it blows ice cold. Sorry for not mentioning that earlier.
