This is a great car. I've been the second owner since I got it in 2000 with 51,000 miles on it and it ran incredibly well over the years. Just last week the clutch started to go and I made the decision not to replace it. I've had a newer SUV that I haven't been using since the Passat is a great ride and gets 32+ MPG on the highway. I've had regular service for oil, brakes and belts. It has a new set of Goodyear Eagle's on the rear (less than 200 miles on them) and the front tires were replaced last year (see photos for tread). The right rear door was replaced with an identical make/model door after my brother backed into the old one. The right passenger window works, but only from the back seat. The temperature sensor does not work but the car has NEVER over heated. The engine light is on but it passed inspection and emissions earlier this year when the general error code was cleared. There are dings in the hood and trunk from branches (see photos) but the rest of the body and panels are in great condition. Although reported as having a sunroof, there is no sunroof. There is a 6 disc CD changer in the trunk. The volume knob on the radio affects speaker performance, but can be adjusted with the right touch. I'm hoping the right person will want to replace the clutch and enjoy many more miles with the Silver Bullet. It goes down the highway like it's riding on a cloud.
