Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1988 Alfa Romeo Milano Gold with 79,847 miles. I have owned this car for 15 years putting only 45,000 miles on it since I owned it. I regretfully have to sell this car due to a back and leg medical condition that does not allow me to drive a manual car or else I would keep it. The engine and transmission are in very good condition with no leaks and work without any flaws. The car starts everytime I turn the key and the transmission shifts smoothly. The clutch works fine, but does catch high on the pedal. It may soon need replacing, but still functions well. The brakes work as they should and stop the car well. All electrics including the sunroof, windows, locks and lights work, but the tachometer intermittently goes off. The air conditioning works but it needs to be charged. The interior of the car is in excellent condition as shown in the pictures. It has an upgraded aftermarket radio with CD player and is ipod ready. The body of the car is very presentable with some minor flaws. The clear coat is wearing on the roof, but is not noticeable due to the white color of the car. The rear wheel arches were replaced and are rust free. The underbody of the car has no rust except for the passenger side front jackpoint Please see additional info). The car has a few dings, nicks and scratches as any 22 year old car would have. See photos. The car still looks very nice and I love the attention I get while driving it. Additional info. I do remember all jackpoints being in sound shape except for the front passinger side one whih I mentioned and photoed. On reinspection, they all can use some reinforcing since they are alittle loose with rust and would cause a problem when needed. On other Milanos I have own, I always carried a non Milano jask which was a small 1000 lb. floor jack. That can fit into other jack point areas. Bought a Milano once where the owner threw in that small foor jack for that very reason. Sory, I did't catch that soon. Also, The car has the nicer 15" wheels instead if the standard 14" wheels. The car has been well maintained through the years and always serviced at Colgen Motors in Belleville,NJ. Some of the work performed on the car in the last 15 months/3000 miles include: Timing Belt Timing Belt Tensioner Water Pump Cam Shaft Seals Complete Muffler system 4 New Tires Brake Pads Brake Rotors Resurfaced Brake Hoses Transmission Mounts Dedion Bushing/Washer Crank Shaft Seal Power Steering Hose All Belts and Hoses I have all maintenance records throughout my ownership and the previous ownership of the car. This car just passed NJ inspection and is good till April 2012. I also just recently changed the oil and filter. I also have many extra parts that will go along with the car. This car is ready to drive and I would not hesitate to take it cross country. It needs nothing to be a good solid daily driver. I have really enjoyed owning this great car. This Milano is also being offered for sale locally and I reserve the right to remove it from this auction if a local sale takes place.
