I am offering my 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa. India (guards) red on black interior. ~226k miles (I do make time to drive it daily so mileage will increase slightly).5 speed, first year of the much superior G50 transmission. Power windows and locks. Factory drivers and passenger sport seats. Cool AC. Alpine AM/FM/CD/Mp3/Ipod stereo. This is the 5th Porsche that I've owned, and probably the cleanest. The car has been garage kept the entire time that I have owned it. There are no tears or cracks on any of the seats or dash, the door pulls show the typical wear as seen in the photos below. I bought the car a little over a year ago from a local Porsche broker, I was not able to obtain any service records other than the dealer stamps thru about 90k miles in 1992. Carfax shows a minor accident in 1999, I believe the entire car was re-sprayed at that time, as the paint is in very good condition and does not show the wear expected of a 23 year old car. During the 2000 miles or so that I have put on the car I have replaced the battery, slave cylinder, master cylinder, clutch fork release bearings, CV boots, several oil lines, and the motor support bar. The car does have 1 or 2 minor oil drips but has not been an issue. All of the guages including the clock work correctly, all of the lights work correctly. The car starts right up every time and runs very well, no smoke at all. Pulls strong as far as the road allows. The transmission shifts very smooth (clutch thickness is well over 60%). This car needs nothing other than to get in, turn the key and enjoy. I have two main keys, and the key for the factory alarm system as well as an aftermarket remote keyless entry. Do not let the high mileage deter you from bidding on this wonderful car, I have driven 911's with 1/4 of the mileage that were not as tight and sound as this one. It has certainly been well cared for over the years. Please ask any and all questions prior to end of auction. Please have ALL of your funding in place before bidding.
