NO RESERVE...She will be sold. 1973 Mercedes Benz 280c (w114 - 6 cylinder) automatic 2 door coupe, one of a kind beautiful 2 tone white with black top & fog lights. 84k original miles. Mint ALL ORIGINAL in amazing condition. It has been meticulously well maintained and runs like the day she was driven out of the showroom Car is always garaged, only driven on weekends, but can be a daily driver. I put on 1,000 miles in the past 2 years. Runs at high speeds with no shakes or rattles, drives like new, tight solid & steers straight.. Engine and tranny are very strong & original. Exterior is excellent to mint. Transmission shifts perfect and smooth. Front and back seats are exceptional with no rips or wear. Interior overall shows no wear and in exceptional condition, headliner is in mint condition, no rips, sags or tears. Original Becker radio. Spare tire has most likely never been used. No rust or rot. This car has not been restored, just well taken of by caring owners. You can scour the Internet, you will not find this striking color combo in a coupe. One of the few that made it out of the 1970's in this condition. Records Included, ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS, correspondence from Mercedes, canceled checks ,including original manuals, service booklet, data card, sales brochure & original highly sort after tool kit never used. Original keys that came with the car (3 sets) . I'm the third owner. Car was purchased June of 1973 in North Brook Illinois, shipped from Stuttgart Germany on June 4th. I'm not a dealer. I'm selling this car because I don't get to drive it much and it is taking up too much space in my garage. Oil pressure remains high as Mercedes should. Tire have 95% tread left. Brakes and rotors are new with about 2,000 miles on them. This car needs nothing, just enjoy! I had the seats re-stuffed and replaced exhaust, brakes, battery, starter, alternator, water pump, fuel pump, fuel lines, plugs, wires, rebuilt carburetor (original carb,tuned perfect!), Alll done over the past 2 years and have 1,000 miles of use, * Extra set of tires (4) with hubcaps (4) are included to the wining bidder. They look like they are new but I'm not sure. 85,00 easy miles, regularly serviced and fully maintained. Uses regular gas, not diesel. I have always used the highest octane. No oil or tranny leaks. Car needs nothing, you can drive it away. Winning bidder should be prepared to talk about this car where ever you go, people are curious and flock to this car. I can accommodate a test drive, or an inspection near my home on Long Island. PLEASE NOTE - being a 37 year old Mercedes Benz it has minor imperfections, but no major dents dings or scratches, and no accidents. Qualifies for antique insurance. I have very extensive flawless records on this car. impeccably maintained w/ full history. The blowers all work fine, I have read about people having trouble and needing to replace their blower motors, not the case here. Car has an A/C unit and their blowers also work, I never charged it. When turned on, the unit kicks over & the light comes on, but does not blow cold air.
