Vehicle Detail

This Sprite was found in a garage 2 years ago and restored to become a "Group 1" vintage racer in VARA for my son to drive. Since he crashed his other street car he needs the money for a new car more than he needs to race. The car was very dirty and hadn't run since 1981, but had no rust at all underneath. The 1275 motor fired right up after only a simple valve/head job and some new parts. There is of course a long laundry list of new stuff that has been put into the car. I did most of the restoration with the final engine work being done by "Monise Motors" and "Britallia" here in Socal. This is NOT a show car, even though my son took it to cars and coffee a couple times in Irvine. It is not licensed for the street, although it would not be difficult to do. The body work and paint came out just OK ( a 10-20 footer in some spots), except the rear end panel has alot of waves (I couldn't find enough stickers to cover them all up). This is a cute, reliable, and fun car to drive and the 1275 is very strong even though it is pretty much stock. It comes with many old parts from the interior, windshield, and engine compartment that were not put back in. Below is a list of new parts and I have the receipts for most of the work done. -All new valves, guides, rockers etc -New roll bar, with intrusion bars across door and down to floor -new carpet kit -Electical cut out switch -Fire extinguisher -Sparco seat -New Diehard -New 8 gallon Fuel cell -New brakes -New springs all around with comp springs up front, lowered in the rear -New 3/4" Sway bar up front -New Sumitomo HT200 tires This would be a great way to start racing a vintage car for not much money and it was the last year Austin Healey put there name on one of these cars and shipped it to the USA (They were only MG Midgets after 69)... Obviously I have alot more in this car than I expect to get out. Local delivery may be worked out, but otherwise I'll help get the car on a trailer if it's going very far. On Aug-28-10 at 11:03:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Also: -New radiator -Removable steering wheel -Gauges all work -Added third brake light for safety (hard to see a car that small) -5 point Simpson restraint for driver (I have the between the leg strap that hasn't yet been bolted in) On Sep-02-10 at 09:28:27 PDT, seller added the following information: RESERVE WAS LOWERED ALOT!!!!!! GOOD LUCK
