Vehicle Detail
Hello All, I have a 2001 Audi S4 up for sale. I will do my best to describe this car and can answer any questions via e-mail or phone call. I bought this car with the intention to fix it and enjoy the German luxury/ muscle that this car has. Recent complications...and I mean very recent, are forcing me to sell it. I bought it in the exact same condition that it is in. The previous owner told me the reason this has a salvage title is because the front S4 body pieces and interior pieces were stolen late in the cars life. I can understand why it would be a total loss becuase OEM Audi parts are not cheap by any means. I read a car fax on it today, and it doesn't specify any frame damage or airbag deployments in it's 9 years of life, this is a major positive. The one major mechanical problem that the car has is the passenger side turbo is making a whistling noise, and there is loss of power. Its starts and idles perfectly, and through the low RPM range it cruises through all the gears, but when the turbo system spools up it makes the noise and a puff of white smoke comes from the tailpipe. Other than this, it is in excellant shape. The engine runs smooth and never overheats, there is no valve train noises or abnormalities other than the turbo. It still runs and drives, the trans goes through every gear smooth, and the ac blow cold as it should. The interior is in excellant shape. There is arent any tears or rips in the leather and the carpet is in good shape. The ONLY button that is broken is broken is the left side triptronic switch. You can still shift gears manually from the wheel but the button is missing. The wheels have some scuffs on them from the previous owner, but still ride smooth and true. The tires are in like new condition. The windshield does have a crack in it but is not a hazard. I would say the car is a 15 footer asthetically. Not that the paint is absolutely terrible, it just has some scuffs and dings here and there. The insurance company probably didnt use the most top notch autobody shop to gap the front panels. They seem to need some adjustment. I think a body shop would do this work for very cheap considering the competetive market right now. I may have been a little hard on the car but its better for the buyer to be aware. In my opinion the most important things such as the interior and engine/drivetrain are unmolested. I am an out of practice mechanic, and very familiar with cars but just not German. So if you have specific questions feel free to call me, I can answer anything you need to know. I am awake all hours of the day so don't worry about the time. I will cooperate with shipping companies schedules if need be. This is a great opportunity to get into the German tuner scene at a cheaper cost. This car has a solid base to work with considering the one mechanical issue and some body work. Somebody whos been working on these S4's will have a field day on this one. Anyway, good luck bidding and feel free to call at ANYTIME. -Chris @ 9093626320. If I do not answer please leave a message and I will call you back.
