This is a 1984 Volvo 240 Turbo or 242ti manual (M46). I bought this car a few years ago thinking I would restore it. It has sat in my climate controlled shop for all of that time save every month when I would drive it around the block. I just have too many other projects going on. I still have my 245T to play with. The car drives great. When the turbo kicks in, it will push you back in your seat. Especially because it has the intercooler vs the older turbos without.. Everything feels tight on the car. I would not hesitate to drive it cross country (might want to get AC first).These engines are very tough and very easy modify if you desire. The reserve is below $1k. It will come with a full tank gas. The Good A/C evaporator is upgraded to aluminum Upgraded water cooled turbo Front suspension bushings all in good shape Rear torque rod bushings are urethane Clutch and rear main seal new a few thousand miles ago exhaust is a custom partially taken from 740 turbo New battery in the last year. Heat works and blower fan is quiet Needs Attention Paint - The car is no beauty queen. There are a few spots of rust at the base of the windshield. (Volvo did not use galvanized steel until 85). Drivers side dent Needs a new A/C compressor Front seats are poor Rear seat is torn at the top. Extra hole for old radio antenna?
