Vehicle Detail
This car took me three winters to build. I built it to run on the street and drag occasionally in sportsman (foot brake). My wife and I got into boating and enjoy that more plus I have another car so this one got to go. The rear axel was moved foward 10" and subframed w/ Jegg's adj. ladder bars.Car runs 13.25@99.8 MPH @ Indy. With some tuning it could be in the 12's. I havn't had time to dial it in. The motor is a 351 CLEVELAND bored .030 over. Stock crank and rods. New standard bearings. Pistons are KB HYPER. 10.6/1 comp. Heads are 2V with new exhaust valves, springs, and seals to match cam which is COMP MAGNUM hydrolic flat tappet w/ 244 degrees duration @ .050. Lift is .565. Stock rockers. Hardened pushrods. Single plane intake w/split wood spacer. Carb is spread bore 650 vac secondary Holley. It works good at the track but not happy at idle when cold. Choke horn was cut off. The motor needs a mechanical secondary carb. Headers are 1.75 od. custom made for the car from Mustang tubes. New stock balancer. Stock distributor w/lite springs. New water pump. New front sump chrome oil pan. New oil pump. New 6AL ignition. New alluminum radiator. Car does not over heat. Transmission is turbo 400 w/ B&M TRANSPAK shift kit. It will hold any gear at any RPM. The reason I put a turbo in the car was because I had it. I bought a TCI adaptor kit for less than it would have cost to build a C4 and buy a convertor. The convertor is a 3500 stall 10 inch. Shifter is Hurst ratchet. New cable. Rearend is Nodular Ford 9" w/new bearings, seals, gears. Which are 4.56/1. 28 spline spool, stock axels cut down resplined by Mosier. Front axel is Ford Ranger spindals, w/disks welded to 1/4" wall 2" square tubing. All new brakes and lines. Stops good. Tires are new, front P175/70R14 on vintage 6" X 14" INDY MAGS. Rear P275/60R15 BF GOODRICH DRAG RADIALS on steal 8" WHEEL VINTIQUIKS. Paint is base/clear not perfect but looks good. New headliner, windsheild and rear window rubber. Needs hardtop side window rubber. I have the old rubber which is OK, but I didn't want to use it. All glass is good. Car had minor rust around wheel wells and floor pans, which we fixed during body work process. Parts car (no motor or trans) included if you want it. Call Bill @ 812.325.7022 for questions. Auction may end early, for sale locally. My BIN is $ 7,500 call.
