I've owned this car for over 5 years and have put over 100k miles on it. The timing belt was changed around 100k miles by VW dealer. The car still runs great, however, the transmission is toast. I thought it was the clutch and had a new one installed by the VW dealer about a year ago. That wasn't it. The problem is in the internal workings of the transmission. Since it was not cost effective to replace, I used parts from it to repair another Jetta. What is left is for sale. The car can still move under it's own power, but is NOT road worthy.
