Up for auction is a 2001 Ford Escape 4X4 SUV. First a little background. This vehicle is currently unable to be driven due to some problem, possibly with the engine or transmission, although it could be something smaller as I have not had it diagnosed. The engine turns over and starts easily but idles rough and erratically. You can put it in gear and it it will drive but there is virtually no power being delivered to the wheels to move the vehicle, it will move as fast as maybe 15-20 MPH on level ground and therefore cannot be driven. It will need to be towed from my location. As you can see the vehicle has 220,000 miles and thus I do not have the time nor am willing to spend much money to get this vehicle running well again. The vehicle is in very decent shape cosmetically and has never been in an accident. It was built as a top of the line model with leather seats, 6 disc changer, sunroof, power everything. The car's value will likely be in parts or perhaps a project car of some sorts. The vehicle is located in southern California and currently has California tags good through March 2011.
