1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Syncro 4x4 van. Vanagon with Syncro all wheel drive system with properly functioning viscous coupler drive shaft and locking rear differential. Good overall condition inside and out with a few minor scratches and dings. I would rate the paint and body with a B grade. The stock rear passenger seats have been removed and replaced with a Westfaila fold down rear bed with Wesfalia cabinets as well as a Pergo wood floor overlay. Custom made interior privacy curtains.This van does not come equipped with factory A/C so NO A/C. The mileage reads 147,293 and the ODO works fine. Upgrades include tinted windows, good working CD player. Oversized tires with good tread left (225/75R 16) mounted on Mercedes ML320 SUV wheels painted black with Go Westy center caps. The wheel and tire package look great and improve handling but the trade off is a loss of power (this is no race car with the stock 2.1L 4cyl engine). A set of 4 stock 14 inch steel wheels and decent tires will be included interested. Upgraded Van Café steel tube rear bumper with 2 inch receive. Custom/modified steel tube front bumper. Smoked tail light lenses and front signal lenses. Yakima rack system with Surco brand gear basket and Surco off road lighting (not currently hooked up). Custom rear ladder. Starts, runs, shifts, drives like it should. Not super fast with the large tires but it will get you where you need to go. A great candidate for a Subaru engine conversion. I have used if for camping, mountain biking and commuting. The longest trip was from Las Vegas to Reno NV and back in May. About 1000 miles round trip. The trailer, bicycles, canoe, Yakima bike rack and Yakima cargo box, personalized NV plate and German plate on front are not included in the sale. SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS.
