Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is an 1982 Suzuki GS1100E punched out to a 1261cc. I do have the title to it and has no back fees. It has been stored in a barn since 1989. There has only been two owners. I purchased this bike and another from the owner. I Really love this bike but I am slowly down sizing my collection due to a large move in my future. History of bike - Bought brand new in 1983 from the dealership and then brought directly to the race shop in Petaluma California. I do not know the name of the shop. It was rode till 1989 when it was put into storage. I have cleaned the carbs, bled the brakes, changed oil, valve adjustment (0.005), installed new battery, and buffed the paint and aluminum polishing, I took a compression test of all cylinders as well. My compression tester stops at 200 psi. Every cylinder buried the needle at 200psi. I cant tell you the true compression, but it is all above 200. There is only 3,xxx miles on this bike. The owner of the bike told me some of the specs that he could remember. Engine - bored to 1261 with Wiseco 10.25:1 compression pistons. Port and polish head, racing cams (couldnt remember the specs), crank welded and balanced, the engine gears have been straight cut and the transmission has been back cut. Has billet clutch basket. That is all he could remember. Has 14 tooth front and a 43 tooth rear sprocket. Best time at the track was 9.92 at 130mph on the quarter. He said he would ride the bike to the track then strip it down at the track. Has a very nice header on the bike. There is a baffle in the pipe and the bike is still very loud. As soon as you touch the throttle, the rpms shoot to redline. Has Mikuni smooth bore racing carbs. -----THE COIL PICK UP COVER WAS STILL AT THE POLISHER WHEN THESE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN. THERE IS A COVER ON THE BIKE. ONCE AGAIN, THERE IS A COVER ON THE BIKE, JUST NOT AT THE TIME OF PICTURES ----- The paint is extremely nice. It is hard to see in the pictures but there is red metal flake in the clear. Very Very sharp. You really cant tell that there is flake until the sun hits the bike then it is a very nice shine to it. The seat has a seam that has came undone on it and is covered with tape. The headlight bezel has a scratch on it. I tried to get it in the picture but it is hard to see in the photo. Tank is absolutely clean inside. Like new. I have to be honest with you, this bike is kinda scary to ride. If you dont like power, dont bid on this bike. I think the neatest thing about this bike is the license plate number is GS13EZ. Thanks for looking. Buy it now is $3000-. On Aug-17-10 at 13:21:38 PDT, seller added the following information:I do have the stock exhaust that the winner can have. It is good shape. Not perfect by any means, could use a good scrubbing. Doesnt look like an old coffee can. In good usable shape. Just a bit dirty.
