loreleismommy Store this is a 1968 mercury cougar i have been working on for 3 years in my spare time. hard times are here and i need to scrape together some cash it hurts me to have to sell this. this cars history. a friend's father had a salvage yard .some kid had the engine done and a couple of weeks later it would not start it got towed he didnt want it and it sat for 10 years on the back of a flat bed. my friend fathers had to get rid of all his cars about 4 acres of cars. so i saved a couple from the crusher. anyway i put a new flex plate on and the motor fired right up with some fresh gas the 289 runs very strong i dont know what was done to it i can see that it has edlebrock valve cover pretty sure the carb was upgraded. trans works good. floor was rotten out under driver and passenger feet. i cut and replaced drivers side passenger still needs to be done comes with the replacement panel. i replaced the metal left and right on bottom of rear qaurters. and trunk drop offs. new gas tank. i found a good hood but the scoop needs new hardware and someone cut out for pins. right fender is good. i found a good fixable left fender needs a little body work. deck lid is savable. glass is all good comes with new weather strip for front and rear windsheilds. new shocks. this car was pretty much complete you will get all parts i have. frame rails only have some surface rust. i will also throw in $200 mustangs unlimited gift cards. i do nont have a title car will need to be towed the roof needs to be repaired it had a vinyl top i tried to just cover it with fiberglass my intent was to make a dragster so i striped the rust with acid then filled and smoothed it out. i stripped it of so you can see picture of what the roof looks like.
