Vehicle Detail
1980 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Low Reserve! I purchased this from a coworker 2 years ago. She got it in a divorce settlement and drove it occasionally. I drove it for the last 2 years as a daily driver. I now have 3 children under the age of 3, 2 other vehicles, and unfortunately, this vehicle can no longer be classified as a need. It is an awesome vehicle and has never left me stranded. It has been meticulously maintained. It has always started for me even in -10 degrees. When I intended to sell it, I decided to get a few things fixed such as new upholstery. Now, several thousand dollars later, I have a frame-on restoration Land Cruiser. Please see the items of improvement listed below: -New paint -New upholstery on front seats -New shifter knob -New rear seat belts -Durabak applied to wheel wells and inner tub (black) -Durabak applied to underside of roof to serve as headliner (white) -New fasteners and screws on many parts of the body -New tail lights -New front turn signals -New front bumper (heavy duty from SOR) -New windshield -New spare, new wheel and Cooper Discoverer ATR 265/75R16 tire -New side mirrors -New valve cover gaskets -New tune-up Compression Test is as follows: 1-135psi/ 2-135psi/ 3-134psi/ 4-134psi/ 5-135psi/ 6-135psi Standard Features include: -4wd (manual locking hubs, standard 4-HI and 4-LO transfer case) -4 speed manual transmission -Factory power steering -removable hard top -rear folding jump seats -265/75R16 Cooper Discoverer A/T tires Stuff to note- this is a 1980 vehicle so some things are not going to be perfect such as: -There are a few dents here and there, mostly on the hard top -There is a surface run in the paint on the rear corner, I was told it could be buffed out, but I have not had this done. I have a picture showing it. -There were a few spots fixed on the body when it was painted, some dents and some rust spots (in any case of rust, it was cut out and welded and/or fixed accordingly) -There is a crack in the top dash which was caulked when it was applied with Durabak. (not really noticeable now) -It could use a center console. I have the original, but it did not seem to be the right choice after the inside was applied with Durabak and it has a crack in it. -You will notice a hole to the right of the rear door. This is where a rear auxiliary light was mounted. I will remount it. I will help with shipping the best that I can. If you are unfamiliar with these, they aren't exactly interstate warriors. They love 60mph and below. I can be a little flexible with the pick-up date, but I need a deposit of $500 via PayPal within 24 hours, so that I know the buyer is serious and not wasting my time. Please feel free to ask questions. Thanks for your interest and bidding!
