Please read the information thoroughly before bidding! ZERO feedbackers need to contact me before bidding or bids will be cancelled!! PLEASE do not bid if you have no intention of buying!! Shipping is responsibility of buyer!! I will help out if I can. Payment MUST be made on time or vehicle will be resold!! NO EXCEPTIONS ON PREVIOUS INFORMATION!!! TOO MANY SCAMMERS ON EBAY NOW...makes it hard for legitimate sales any more! Sorry for all of this "mean talk" right at the get go, but I don't have the time to screw around and relist this several times. THANK YOU. Here we have a rare 1965 GMC 1/2 ton four wheel drive! It is completely original except for the wheels and tires I put on. It has just over 64k original miles. It has not been licensed since 1974. It was owned by an elderly gentleman here in Coeur d' Alene, ID since 74 and used solely for a snow plow on his property. I removed the snow plow. The truck has the 305E V-6 with four speed transmission. I have rebuilt the carb., replaced the fuel tank, cleaned the plugs, etc. It runs very well. The transmission shifts great, clutch is good. The brakes work good, but could use a good cleaning, I'm sure. The four wheel drive works great. It has the manual warn hubs. The speedometer works, dash lights work, interior lights work, horn works. The heater fan does not turn on, I am currently checking into this. The headlights and taillights do not work, I am also checking into this. The windshield wipers work. It drives down the road great. The wood bed is toast! The windshield has a crack in it. The rest of the glass is great. It needs new shocks in the rear, I believe they are original! The body has its share of bumps and bruises. Rust is VERY minimal. Floorboards are solid. I believe the only rust through is on the drivers side bottom part of front fender. Someone at some point primered parts of the bed, I have ground off some of the old flaking paint and spot primered these areas to protect the metal. The worst body damage is on the drivers side rear quarter. Decoding the V.I.N. number you will find this was #217 built in Oakland California at the GMC plant. This will make a beautiful restoration or drive it as is. This truck gets looks wherever I take it, you just don't see these around. Please do not hesitate to ask questions, I will help you any way possible to determine if this is the truck for you! I will update the listing as we go...I am sure I am forgetting some things! Good luck This truck is very original and has not been screwed around with! It needs some good old fashioned elbow grease and tinkering. You will love it if you are into these old trucks. You will have a very unique pickup that you will not see very often. Check out www.6066gmcguy.org for all kinds of information related to this pickup! On Aug-15-10 at 22:24:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, It's Sunday night and this is the first revision on the pickup!! We spent all day with the lights, replaced the high beam switch, all of the lightbulbs, and I am happy to say that every light is working properly! High/low beams, turn signals and brake lights. We replaced the horn relay, and the horn works great! Drove it around town and to Walmart tonite and what a pleasure! This pickup runs excellent! Very quiet, the muffler is not very old. Pulls a bit to one side, but with an alignment I am sure it would steer true. The brakes work great too. Shifts great. Someone is going to get a great pickup that should last longer than we will!!
