ATTENTION BIDDERS! THIS CAR NEEDS A NEW ENGINE. CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS. This car has served me well. I purchased it in 2008 in very good condition from a dealer. It is a comfortable ride and never gave me major problems until about a month ago when the engine blew up unexpectedly. I am assuming the cause for this was a former oil leak that had not been fixed properly. I have since taken the vehicle to a local Volkswagen service center to have it checked thoroughly. Here is what it says on their paperwork: "Advance triggered fault; check oil level not registering in dipstick; Also found solid fault for cat defective; Will have to tear down car, remove valve cover and tensioned and check internals (might be damaged due to low on oil); Also will need to check timing (timing belts show crack);" and furthermore it says:"ABS module not communicating, check power and ground to the module present, trace to module defective.....ABS module not communicating with ECM of vehicle" The car is now back at my house. The engine will not start and the car will have to be towed . Also, and this is from before the car broke down, a small part of the driver side grill underneath the front fender is missing. I am told this can be replaced at a reasonable price. The person who is willing to put the time and money towards fixing this car will not regret it. It is a comfortable car. The interior's tan leather is in mint condition. The front seats are heated. The stereo includes single CD deck as well as cassette deck. The sun roof opens all the way. The car has Anti Theft, ABS, child safety locks, a spare valet key, an adjustable steering wheel, and a full size spare tire in the trunk.
