up for auction, and with no reserve is this 1968 mustang coupe. it is equipped with a 289 engine and an automatic trans. both the engine and the trans work, although, the carburetor needs a couple of gaskets replaced. i started this car and let it run for approx. 10 mins. it ran smooth, but as i said, the carb leaked gasoline from the accelerator pump. i do believe the brakes need to be looked at. they are all drum brakes, and i think the fronts are a bit frozen, as the car is hard to roll. i checked on ebay, and you can get a complete rebuild kit for $130. the kit to rebuild the carb is $30. not too bad, and then this car will be very driveable. as far as the body, it is pretty solid. the front floors need to be patched in, and it has a rust hole here and there, but should be an easy fix for someone with limited knowledge. the black interior is pretty nice, needing just a lower seat cover for the driver side seat. you cannot take this car and drive it right away, but it will only take a couple of days and this would be a nice kick around driver for any kid. cheap license too. i will include all the extra 68 parts i can find and throw them in with the deal. remember, this is a "no reserve" aution. it will last 7 days, and sell to the highest bidder. trades will be considered, just ask. the headliner has a tear in it, but they are cheap too. the only other thing i can see is the drivers side door handle is loose. please ask all ?s early, i will get back to you right away. good luck
