1931 Ford Model A slant window body for sale. Switching over to a roadster body. Looking to sell the body with the steel rear fenders and frame. Body in great solid clean condition. The replaced roof insert is in excellant conditon as is all the wood in the roof and body. 31 slant windows use wood for trim only and it is not used for structural support. The slant window was a change over body to the 32 so it differs somewhat from the standard 31 model A. The all steel internal structure is one of those differences plus the slanted back windshield and the roof is 1.5 inches lower (factory specs) than the standard 31 model A. All four doors are in great condition with tinted safety glass and working crank up mechanisms. Body has all garnish mouldings (will fit 32 ford 4 door) and stainless screws. 32 style steel dash installed. Gauges and gauge insert is NOT included. New polished windshield frame with safety glass and swing out chrome sliders are included. Cowl lights are NOT included. Interior has been removed and does not include seats. Flat sheet metal floor has been installed using heavy gauge metal and square tubing. Sub frame is original and in good shape. Both steel rear fenders are in great condition. The frame is included. It is the stock frame that has been boxed and has P&J front shock mounts, vega steering mount installed. Rear of frame has been modified for a jag rear end. Frame is straight but needs some work. Body has hand rubbed stressed paint and was made to look aged. Body, doors and fenders are extremely straight but not finished for show paint job. Please note that this body is a four door and the rear door exterior handles are removed. Did not weld up the door handle holes so that they CAN be easily reversed. To open the rear doors you reach inside from the front door and use the interior handle. I have all four repo 31 door handles. Body presently has 32 ford 5w coupe handles on it. They fit perfectly. This 160-B body HAS been modified by having the rear quarter windows removed and now looks exactly like the 1931 ford 160-C slant window BLINDBACK. Stock fire wall has a 4" set back for a small block. Motor mounts on the frame are set up for a small block ford v8. Check out the photos and contact me if you have any questions.
