Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for auction is a gorgeous 1984 Jeep CJ7. It has been restored from the ground up and it rides, drives, and handles, just as good as it looks. The body is all original sheet metal with no rust or bubbles, and has the original renegade vinyl decal package. It was taken down to bare metal and painted 3 years ago and has less than 2,000 miles on it since. The frame is completely rust free and was undercoated when the jeep was painted (no rot at all). The jeep only comes out on sunny days in the summer and is stored my garage. It comes with a soft top and doors and a bikini top as well. It also comes with a set of hard doors that are painted to match the rest of the body. The hard doors do not have any rubber or hardwear, but they do have the glass, the hinges will need to be adjusted , as it is a sunny day jeep, I’ve never had a need for the hard doors. It has a swing away full size spare matching wheel and tire and the original rear tailgate. The wheels are 15” pro comp polished aluminum. The tires are BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain, 33 x 12.5 R15 with a ton of tread left on them. The interior is black denim and in good condition. It has the denim look high back bucket seats with center console. The seats go forward on both sides for rear entry. It has seat belts in the front and rear. The suspension has been restored for a great ride without drifting. It has a 4” Skyjacker suspension lift. It has all new leaf springs, heavy-duty shackles (front & rear, new sway bar, quick disconnects, with poly bushings. It has a Dana 35 in the front and Dana 44 in the rear. The engine is the original rebuilt 4.2 liter (258) 6 cylinder. It has a 2-barrel holly carburetor with electric choke and she starts right up and runs perfect. The 258 has a cast iron block and cylinder head. The main strengths of the 258 are it's reliability, low cost, low RPM horsepower and torque peaks, and serviceability. A new clutch, new upper and lower ball joints on both sides, oil change and 2 year inspections just done this week. This CJ cruises down the interstate straight and easy. The speedometer is off a little with the bigger tires. All of lights and electricals work as they should with the exception of the gas gauge. One of the biggest advantages of owning a CJ with the 6 instead of the 8 is the ride and handling. The 6 cylinder CJ’s ride and handle better than the V8’s mainly because of the front-end weight. There is plenty of power and loads of torque with the big 6 anyway and I 100% prefer them in a CJ. This is an excellent CJ7 with no issues and no rust. I have a clean title in hand. Please take the time to look at the many pictures and email with any questions. Please do not bid if you do not have the money to pay if you win. Good Luck, You will not be disappointed! I require a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours and full payment within 7 days via paypal or cash. The Jeep is sold as, is where is therefore no warranties are expressed or implied.
