About Me | See my other items | Email A Friend Description of [1963 BMW R50] For sale a 1963 BMW R50 Earles fork edition with believed to be 19374 original miles. This vintage machine is almost half century young and is very presentable and ridable. Starts, runs and rides great, has good brakes for a 47 year old machine. This motorcycle is all numbers matching has great compression and always starts with 1-2 kicks. It is known to me that bike has only had two owners since new, it is an older cosmetic restoration and that the engine/trans. have never been apart. The bike has many original features a BMW enthusiast would appreciate. Bike sports aluminum wheels, low European Magura handlebars, Albert bar end mirror, Denfeld solo seat and a luggage rack. Most of vital rubber has been replaced recently with all original parts including driveshaft boot, air filter connecting tube gaskets, handlebars got NOS Magura grips. The tires are in excellent condition although have different thread. The horn does not work, wheel hub caps come with the bike. Let me know should you have any more questions. The bike was equipped with a bench seat. In those days dealers would often assign a production year to a motorcycle when they were sold and not necessary when they were produced.
