Vehicle Detail
1972 Chevrolet Blazer Exterior: Painted 05 Chev Victory Red, it was painted about 2 years ago, I had a local guy paint it, it is not showcar perfect quality, but it is a very good paintjob. It looks really nice in the sun, and the chrome and stainless set it off nicely. The frame is painted black and has some cool airbrush (look at pics). The whole frame used to be pinstriped, but when it went to the painter he messed that up, so it was sanded off and sprayed black. It is very clean, there is no oil or gunk buildup, this is a project that has been in the build for many years, always garaged. There is pinstriping on the tailgate that is very cool. Bumpers are new from the Truckshop, the front is a custom 70' with built in driving lights. The grill is a Billet piece from Truckshop also. Every bit of trim is new. The K5 emblems are used but clean, Pretty much everything on this ride is new. Questions, please ask!! I have a hard top for the vehicle, although it does not have the liftgate, I have the side windows and gate glass for it if you want it. I will not put it on the Blazer. You can have it and put it on if you wish. the top is not done, its rough. Interior: New Carpet kit, Seats are out of a Explorer, front and back, The fronts are power, they work great and are comfortable, they have a cool LA Dodgers insignia embroidered in them, I bought them off ebay years ago and now they are getting used. The middle console is out of a Expedition, it basically bolted right in! The radio is new, its a AM FM Cassette with and Ipod input (made to look old radio) , it also has subwoofer outputs also. The speakers are just a cheap set of 5 1/4's and 6x9's that I put in for sound, Its a convertible so I didn't worry about music. The interior is deluxe, the doorpanels are used repainted, the stainless trim is great, the armrests are new, the dashpad is new, just like everything outside, the inside is basically new, The dash has a full set of Autometer guages, some don't work only from not being hooked up, hence the oil temp, and the fuel level. I didnt have the senders for them. This truck is a AC truck although there is not a compressor with it. (Back to the Convertible) I didn't care about the air. Although the ducting is all in place and the vents are there. I am sure that it would not be a major issue to the compressor installed and charged. There is a 16 gallon fuel cell and battery in the rear under the cover. Drivetrain Engine is a 396 bottom end with 454 heads, When I bought this engine, it was supposed to be a 454, upon checking numbers it was not all 454. the heads have been decked down and there was a new full gasket kit used. The engine is a 9.2-3 to 1 compression ratio. It runs good. There is a 375hp decal on the air cleaner but i have no idea how much power it makes. I did not rebuild this motor, I do not know what cam is in it, it does have a couple oil drips here and there. It has a polished intake with a edelbrock 750 electric choke carb. The headers are jet coated and there is dual 2 1/4 exhaust through Dynomax mufflers. Electric fan, power steering, HEI Ignition. Trans is a 700R4. Fresh rebuild. The rearend is a Dana 70, 4.10 posi. with disc brakes. I actually hated putting this rearend in, because its a stout SOB. I wanted to keep it for another project. OH Well. So yes, this has 4 wheel disc brakes. That brings us to the frontend. This Blazer used to be a 4wd. Reflections West, a shop out of Salt Lake, did the conversion to 2wd about 15 years ago, it now has the A arms and coil springs with a swaybar setup. It was done very well, not a thrown together pos. The rear still has the leafsprings, with an airbag (mainly used as a bumpstop to not smack the frame). Wheels are Weld Evo 20x9. They have Toyo Proxes S/T Tires on them. The wheels and tires are brand new. I know that I have not even started to list all the stuff on this Blazer, so keep looking back I will add to the desc when needed. Please ask any questions and I will answer asap. Thanks for looking and good luck. There is a reserve, but it is set way low for this truck, you will agree! Don't miss out on this one, you wont be disappointed. I am going to Speedweek at Bonneville Salt Flats next Friday, Aug 13th. I would haul the Blazer in an enclosed trailer to there and meet if you wish, that could save you a bundle of money on shipping, I will also haul a certain distance for a predetermined price if you like. Please email me with any questions. Thanks. On Aug-04-10 at 14:54:37 PDT, seller added the following information:I had a question if everything works, Let me fill you in: AC no, not hooked up I didnt hook up the heater, ac fan controls so I dont know if they work, never tried them, hence the convertible, the wiper fluid pump doesnt work, I dont have one on it, there is a bottle and line ran though. backup lights dont work, I don't know where the switch is for them, I can't remember anything else, so just minor items. I will post others if I had missed them.On Aug-06-10 at 17:18:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Ive had a couple question about trades, trades with cash. etc... I am not really interested in trades, I have a few other project that I want to work on, so as for now, this Blazer is selling for cash, As Is condition, I also found a stock compressor for the AC that I will give to the buyer if they want, I will also give a bunch of parts that I had left over too.. Only if they want them. Thanks, There are over 40 people watching this auction, so don't wait till the last second to throw in a bid and get outbid... I also want to make some sort of shipping discount to the winner ( maybe some money off the top of the winning price). I'll think about it and put something in stone tomorrow. GOOD LUCK!!!On Aug-07-10 at 12:01:36 PDT, seller added the following information: OK Heres what I am thinking. I will take $500.00 off the top of the winning bid, that would give you that money to help with shipping, If the winning bidder wants to meet me at Bonneville or wherever I will still take that $500 off the top. How about this.. If this auction hits $15000.00 (which would be way cool) I will knock off $1000.00 off the top of the winning bid.. I think that is a hell of a deal for this Blazer!! I Hope you guys do to! Please email me with any questions!!
