Up for bid is a 1964 VW Beetle Rat Rod. This vehicle is being sold with NO RESERVE & sells to the highest bidder. This is an opportunity to STEAL a Rat Rod that is ready to drive! THIS IS BEING RE-LISTED BECAUSE SOMEONE COULDN'T READ. PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING Here's the story. This car had the top cut off in the 80's, was driven for a time & was parked for 20 years in a barn before I got it. I repeat, THERE IS NO TOP FOR THIS CAR. I have replaced the carb, installed drop spindles, new fuel tank, engine tin, new 135 tires for the front, etc. etc. The engine runs good. It is not the original engine. It has been replaced sometime over the years with a 1600. It could use a carb adjustment & some fine tuning. I also have some misc parts to go with the car....2 extra wheels, brand new chromies & clips for the wheels, some original seat frames but not complete, etc. The paint is a 20 year old job but it looks good at 10 feet or so. It has the usual scuffs, scratches & dings. What Rat Rod doesn't ? I had planned to shave the windshield down a few more inches, primer it black & be done with it. I have driven this car quite a bit around town without any issues but it has not been on a road trip more than about 40 miles or so in over 20 years. I am suggesting that the buyer trailer it home just for their own safety....but that is obviously your choice. I have developed interest in another project which is the reason for the sale. If you have zero feedback or negative feedback, I will cancel your bid unless you contact me prior to bidding. I would prefer a local buyer but I will work with your shipper if you arrange transport at your expense. I'm flexible to a degree but don't want to drag this out, I need the garage space for a new project. A $500 good faith deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end via Paypal. Buyer will need to have this vehicle picked up before August 14th & paid in full unless other arrangements are made......again, BEFORE YOU BID, not after. Title will be notarized & ready for you on pick up day. As this car is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end this auction early if vehicle sells. I am not an expert on selling cars on ebay nor am I a dealer. If you want additional pics of any angle or have questions, all you have to do is ask.
