Vehicle Detail
This Chevrolet is one of the most dependable cars I have ever owned. It has been as reliable as a car can get. Always starts right up and is a real gas mizer (45 to 50 mpg). It is very nimble and easy to squeeze into tight parking spaces. I'm selling it because my brother just gave me a car (a Miata) and I don't need two. The Metro has 126,000 miles and has many, many more to go. As you can see, it is clean and in very good condition. You can see a couple of dings in the photos... the one on the hood/right front fender occurred when a branch fell from a tree during a storm. I never bothered to have it fixed since it did not seem like much damage. Everything (wipers, horn, all lights, factory AM/FM radio/cassette with four speakers, heater, rear window defogger, trip meter, tachometer and instrumentation, hand brake, brakes, 5-speed trans & clutch, rear hatch, fold-down rear seat, reclining front seat, doors, window cranks) work like they are supposed to. The car is equipped with an air conditioner. It used to work fine until last year. I believe it needs a recharge but I did not bother having it fixed as it happened in the Fall and I haven't driven it much since the end of spring (that's when I got the Miata... hung onto the Metro because it has been such a good car, but now I need the cash). The tires are OK but probably only have a few thousand miles left in them. I went to the NJ Motor Vehicle Inspection station last week. Every thing passed (emissions, safety) except for a slight exhaust leak. I didn't think there was any problem but you know how these inspectors are. Everything must be perfect for them. The NJ sticker is valid until the end of August. As you can see from the price I am asking, I expect to leave that repair for the next owner. If you are interested, we'll go for a test drive. I have a valid title and it is clear. I also have the original owner's manual. Good luck bidding.
