1966 Chrysler Crown Imperial 4 door hardtop. Very good original condition. California car. Currently registered as a Pennsylvania historic vehicle. Very solid body with no significant body, floor, trunk, or rocker panel rust. You can drive this home. It can be used daily. No significant leaks. This is the last Imperial with a full frame, no unibody. 440 V8, complete rebuild about 1995 to use unleaded regular gasoline. New pistons rings, bearings, valves, valve seats. Engine has about 60,000 miles since rebuild. The engine runs very strong and provides great acceleration for this 5,000 lb Detroit classic. Has 4 bbl Carter AFB fitted with manual choke cable (Needs choke pulloff replaced). Rear air shocks installed. Nice smooth ride. Transmission overhauled about 4 years ago. Additional transmission cooler installed. Car has new top about 6 years old. Runs very well. Transmission shifts properly. Power brakes are excellent. Power steering is excellent. This car has most all option available. The seats are dark emerald full leather with no rips or tears. Driver seat shows some wear. The front seats are split bench. Each seat is 6 way power and work. Front passenger seat back reclines to near horizontal. Headliner is original and like new. All 4 door panels are excellent. Dash and door panel trim is real wood and excellent. Dash pad has some sun shrinkage. Carpets are very good original. All 6 windows are power and operate. Some operate slow. Has auto pilot, not working. Has airconditioner, not working. Has AM/FM original radio with motorized scanning and reverberation circuit. Power antenea, not working. Climate control. Power trunk release. Automatic emergency brake release. Power door locks. Rear window blower. Automatic headlight dimmer. Steering wheel tilts and telescopes. Floor air control. Interior hood release. Center arm rests for each front seat and middle or rear. Original trunk carpeting and spare tire cover. Tires are fair. Spare is included with original bumper jack and lug wrench. 4 good original wheel covers. Exhaust system needs repair. Hitch with 4 wire lighting plug used to pull utility trailer. Chrome is pretty good. A lot of the trim is stainless steel. The car was bought in California about 1988. Was brought to Pennsylvania about 4 years ago. The car is 44 years old. It has many small imperfections expected for a car this age but overall much better then most you will find with no prior restoration. The car is very original with little to no missing parts. The A/C was rebuilt prior to leaving California about 6 years ago. It had new compressor, hoses and was flushed and refilled with non freon refrigerant. Not blowing cold now. Problem not diagnosed. There is a primer spot in the center of the hood that can't be seen clearly in the photos. It is about 3 inches wide and 6 inches long. On Aug-03-10 at 16:51:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Am including the following extra parts: 2 each left 1965 grille panels with headlight assembly and 1 glass cover, Right and left vent window assemblies with frames, 2 each sets of chrome grilles between windshield and hood, left front wheel well SS trim, drivers side remote control mirror with cables and knob, two pieces of interior chrome window trim, 2 exterior door handles, 6th steel wheel with good tire, complete instrument cluster with plastic cover and chrome trim, 3 outside section red taillight lenses. All these parts are used and in varying condition. I have many more parts in Vista California if you are able to pick them up. There are 2 bucket seat frames with motors, lots of little parts, more instrument clusters, window motors, exterior top fender edge trim, rocker panel SS trim, a set of 1966 wheel covers, rear lower bumper face and other used stuff from 1964-66 imperials. This is a partial list of what I remember being there. I may have disposed of some of the California items.
