1960 FORD STARLINER RESTORATION PROJECT BODY WORK 98% COMPLETE This restoration started 2 years ago With the pruchase of 2 Starliners and a rust free low mileage 4 door Galaxie. The best body of the Starliners was dissassembled and sand blasted. All areas of rust were cut out and replaced with new metal. The car was then primed with etching primer and then urathane primer and blocked. The floors have not been primed and the flat part of the trunk floor was not replaced as we were waiting for a company to make a replacement floor. It is probably available now. There is a little surface rust from the last 12 months of storeage but can easily be sanded and primed. Hood is an original rust free hood that has not been preped yet and has a bent under front corner that can be easily straightened. The chassis from the rust free 4 door was blasted and painted with black enamel and is in excellent condition. Same chassis as 2 door Starliner. All fuel lines and brake lines installed and if I remember right we checked the brakes and thought them in good condition. Power assist steering parts installed and look good. Body is bolted to chassis in several places but bushings not installed yet. Included in the sale is a period correct running (took out of running vehicle) 352 4 bl engine and original Starliner transmission, belhousing, torque converter, driveshaft. These last items need checking for servicability. We have many parts and dupications of some. Items like radiator, master cylinder, power steering pump, generator, exhaust manifolds, and the like are included. Interior was complete when dissassembled except seat frames were removed. Seat frames included should be right ones havn't checked. No work has been done on any interior parts. Several sets of front and rear bumpers, door handles, outside chrome, medalions for roof, badges and such are included. Can't say which ones you would use as is, recondition or replace. Some window moulding and outside chrome parts will need to be purhcased. Between the two cars there was prety much 2 complete starliner dash assemblys including heater parts. 5 original wheels. No good exhaust or gas tank. Plenty of door hardware. All glass included including a good rear window. You get everything in the sale. All small items are boxed including a lot of the original bolts. Restored Starliner, Rusted parts Starliner on a chassis, and the extra Chassis. The only parts that have been disposed of were most of the body of the 4 door Galaxie. All Chassis are rolling on wheels. There is much too much to try to take pictures of so I concentrated on the restored parts. The metal parts that you see are RUST FREE with the exception of very light surface rust in isolated areas. There are duplications of many items. Over $20,000.00 spent getting this far.
