For your consideration a 1941 Buick Special Sedanette. Fresh from a local estate. The car is in good condition. It needs restored. It has a straight 8 cylinder motor with two carburetors. The motor looks to be complete except it is missing its starter. The radiator looks good. The motor turns over but I have not tried to start it. The transmission has been removed and is in the trunk with a spare transmission. It is a three speed transmission with shift on the column. The body is in pretty good condition but there is a little rust in a couple of spots that look like body filler. The right door has some rust on the bottom edge. Both rocker panels have some rust holes. There is some other surface rust on the car. The floor is pretty solid but there is a rust hole in the trunk floor. The gas tank is off and in the trunk and also has a rust hole. Some of the trim is loose and a few pieces are missing. The grill and the front bumper are loose and not bolted on. All of the tires air up but a couple will leak down over time. One hubcap is missing. The front of the car is marked BUICK SPECIAL All of the glass is good except the right windshield has a BB hole. The front hood is made to open and hinge from either side or it can be removed. The interior and dash are complete. The dash has its original radio and clock. I was told this model is called a Sedanette and that two door models are hard to find. It is a very large car. It is an excellent candidate for restoration or make a great street rod. It has a clear title. Interested bidders can view the car if they would like. It is located outside of El Paso, Illinois 61738 I am selling the car for local pick up but delivery can be arranged for a reasonable fee within 200 miles of my location. Payment on the car is required with 7 days of the close of the auction. The car does not have to be picked up right away. I can store the car for a reasonable amount of time at no extra charge until pick up is convenient for the buyer. The car is and will be stored outside. International bidders are welcome. They are called Elephand Ear bumper guards and were a very rare option. I have had a lot of good offers to sell them seperately but have decided to leave them with the car. I have been told a full set of these will bring as much as $1,000. The car has all four of its guards.
