Normal 0 1967 Pontiac Firebird completely restored 4 speed manual 400 engine – not numbers matching metallic gray - flawless paint black leather interior VIN# 223377u617521 I am motivated to sell. I have set this auction up as a NO RESERVE with a very low starting price. I bought the car about 2 years ago. The guy I bought it from is the one that did the restoration. I am not sure how long he had it for, but he did tell me he had all the work "professionally done, not one of those home garage projects". The engine is not a numbers matching 400, as this car was manufactured as the "sprint" (6 cylinder). He had it pulled and rebuilt from another car. There is probably less than 1000 miles on the new engine, as this car is strictly garage kept and used on those perfect sunny days. As far as other work, the car is restored to pretty much stock. It does have power steering, and now has power brakes. I just added a master cylinder and boost kit to the brake system. It still uses the existing drum brakes, but adds a significant amount of braking (stopping) power. Exhaust and headers have all been done, and I did the header gaskets last summer. Actually, I did the bulk of the gaskets, hoses, and all rubber I could find last summer during a tune up. It does have posi, and I did the gears last summer converting them from 410's to 355's. (way better). Its a muncie 4 spd, and has been a great driver for me. The car feels very solid and I have had it checked by a few people since I have owned it.
