Vehicle Detail
1997 Mercury Sable GS STATION WAGON. It has the 3rd seat in back. Also has decent tread on 4 matching Michelin Tires. Remote keyless entry/alarm tag This is a great family car. PERFECT STAYCATION car since it has the 3rd row rear facing passenger seat and can easily accomodate 7 passengers. It also has the roof rack so luggage won't take up space.Rides very nice and smooth on roads (a really comfortable ride for longer trips), the engine runs good and strong and the transmission is strong without any issues. No leaks with this car since it has been sitting in my driveway for several months. Before it broke down I got slightly more than 20mpg around town and about 25 mpg highway which is way better than my smaller less comfortable Jeep gets! I am only selling this car because I cannot afford to pay a mechanic to fix it for me and I cannot afford two vehicles. However, my mechanic friend has said that it wouldn't be that expensive to fix for someone that can remove and replace the parts that are needed (see below). The car has some body damage but that only effects the cosmetics of the car and is in no way related to it's condition now. It's far from being a junker and should bring several years of economical family use. A/C RUNS AND BLOWS COLD DURING SUMMER HEAT RUNS AND BLOWS NICE AND HOT DURING WINTER ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WORK GREAT NEEDS A JUMP START OR BATTERY REPLACED SINCE IT WON'T HOLD A CHARGE 1997 Mercury Sable GS Wagon Willow Green Metallic Exterior with Gray Cloth Interior (needs some cleaning) Automatic Transmission Factory Sound System Factory Alloy Wheels (Tires Have Good Thread) 3.0 V6 Engine Factory Alarm with Remote Keyless Entry Original Books and Owners Manual Traded In On A New Car Purchase From Paragon Honda Two Owner Car, Last Owner Has Had It Since 6/18/99 Bought It With 29,795 Miles, Title Was Issued On 9/17/99, Financed Through Capital One Bank, All Paid Off, Includes A Lien Release. The Point Of Throwing This In Is That The Person Paid A Lot Of Money For This Car Back Then And Took Care Of It, It's Not Just Some Random Junker. NOT CURRENTLY DRIVEABLE, Ran and Drove Fine It Broke Down this summer and was Told By The Tow Truck Driver That A Hose Popped and The Car Started Overheating. I did have a friend with some mechanic knowledge help me drive home from where it broke down at and he said he thought it was a problem with the Right and Left Motor Mounts and the Right front drive axle. I have looked up all the parts on Ebay for this car and it would cost somewhere around $100.00 (approximately) for the parts which is really cheap to fix this car. I Don't Want to Deal With It and Am Selling It As Is. Whoever Wins Would Have To Pick Up The Car In Derby, CT and Use A Trailer Or Transport To Bring It Back As Its Currently Not Driveable. Or You Can Simply Tow It To A Local Shop To Fix It, Maybe Even Fix It Yourself Depending On How Easy It Is To Fix. THANKS FOR LOOKING!
