I bought this bike in 2002 with about 8300 miles on it and drive it primarily for pleasure so it only has 13,000 miles on it now. I part with it reluctantly as I love the bike, but I just bought a Triumph Bonneville T100 and can't afford to have 2 bikes. This is generally in very good condition but is not a show bike. I have posted a lot more pictures at www.billpetit.com/ebay550. Both tires have only a few hundred miles on them. I replaced the points with a Dyna-S electronic ignition and replaced the coils with Accel coils. (Original parts are available). The bike runs well but I have had problems with carbon fouling of the plugs. I recently replaced the plugs with a hotter version (D8EA) and it seems to have taken care of the problem. A more competent owner could probably tune it better than I have. I had it in the shop earlier this year and the mechanic did a compression check and said it was 120psi across all 4 cylinders. As can be seen in the additional pictures, there is a King/Queen seat and the original 8 track player for the fairing that comes along, along with an additional set of header pipes. The seat has been in my shed since I bought the bike and there is a small hole (dime size) where a critter apparently got at it (see pictures on the web). The bike has been registered and inspected every year since I bought it. I just transferred the plates to my Bonneville and the NYS inspection expires later this year.
