You're looking at a nice 1988 Mercedes Benz 560SEC. The car runs very good and the air conditioning blows cold. Many new parts. Good condition for the year. There are a few areas where rust has started along the trim line (see pictures). The interior is in good condition. The seats are good however, there are some stains on the carpets. The seats are solid and all the glass is in good condition. I am selling this car for a friend. He bought it 4 years ago for $6,600 with plans to restore it to like new conditon. He immediatly invested $2,700 to fix everything that wasn't functioning as it should. He has not had the time to move forward with his total resteration. The car is fine as it is now and has the potential to be much more. Quite simply the best four-seater coupé you could buy in the ‘80s, and there still can’t be a lot to compare them to today. Mercedes-Benz created something special by taking the best of the other SECs and adding fatter tires, flared arches and a limited-slip diff. Climate control came as standard, as from 1988 did heated seats. With the aid of a mechanical/electronic fuel injection system, the 560’s engine put out 20% more power than even the 500SEC. There was a price to match - by the end of the ‘80s these cars cost a massive £63,000. You are welcome to come drive and inspect the car. You will not be disappointed. The car is 22 years old and difficult to accuratly describe its condition. It's not perfect but in my opinion, very nice for the year. I understand there is a big following for the 560SEC and therefore, you likely know more about it than I do. Please come take a look and decide for yourself.
