1968 Camaro SS 396 4 Speed - Frame Off, No Expense Spared on a restoration completed about 5 years ago. It is a Norwood built SS according to the data plate which is still in place. Great attention to detail was given to this Camaro at restoration. It has spent most of the past 5 years in a local dealers showroom. This Camaro has many Rare and Desireable options including the 396 engine, 4 speed transmissionand, and a 12 bolt rear end. It also has factory Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes, Rare teak Steering Wheel, Tic Tac instrument cluster ( clock and tachometer as one guage) Center Console with center console gauges. Deluxe Red interior, front and rear spoiler and much more. As stated before, this was a frame-off restoration about 5 years ago. This Camaro was completey stripped and painted in high quality Roman Red on a rust free body. Body is very straight and solid with no rust bubbles anywhere. The paint has held up very well and shows great. Note the original SS hood with the correct hood inserts. The floor pans and frame are solid and rust free. Ever piece of chrome, stainless and glass was replaced at restoration. At restoration every piece of the interior was replaced, (including headline and door panels). The interior is one of the best fitting I have seen. Dash was stripped and painted . All instruments and gauges are new. At restoration the 396 engine and 4 speed transmission were rebuilt as well as the 12 Bolt rear end. All exhaust was replaced with stock type mufflers. This is a true 396 engine that was a warranty relpacement for the original owner. It even has the CE (counter enchange) stampings on the block. Casting # on engine 3999290 denotes as 396 V8. Casting # behind distributor is F 8. It has been fitted with New American Torque Thrust polished wheels. 17x7 on the front and 17x8 on rear with new tires. Car also has professionally installed AM/FM Cd player as well! This Camaro runs , drives, and stops great. It is truly a thrill to dive to shows or wherever. As is normal, this Camaro will be sold without warranty. If you are in the area please come by and inspect this Camaro before auction end.
