Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1979 Honda CR125 Elsinore Motocross bike for restoration or parts. This bike is 90% complete, it is missing it's carburetor, left side panel, chain, throttle & cable, brake lever & cable, clutch cable & cable and grips. The bike had been in storage for about 10 years after it's piston had started to pick up in the cylinder, the piston was removed and there the bike sat with no cylinder on, so the cases would need to be split to check the main bearings as the crank does not move (cylinder & head are back in place, but no piston). The frame is in excellent condition, no cracks or dents. Original seat cover is showing it's age but the seat base is un-cracked and in excellent original condition. Original rear shocks, they haven't sagged with age. The original tank features the remnants of some period DG tank graphics, but the tank needs some attention to remove some dents. The bike still has the original airbox cover and rubber retaining strap. Ignition components are all there, no cut stator or coil wires, everything is as it should be. The exhaust pipe and silencer are in excellent condition. This bike is great project, original levers are still available through Honda (or replicas through Parts Unlimited), add a carb, new tires and rebuild the motor and you are on your way to building a nice CR125. The bike does not have a California title and will be sold with a Bill of Sale. Shipping Buyer to arrange collection and shipping (Collection from Fullerton, Ca 92832). Uship is an excellent source for quotes http://www.uship.com/motorcycles/ or come and pick it up in person. International bids are welcome, but you have to arrange your own collection and shipping. The bike does not have a title, so you will need to contact your shipping company before it leaves the country, however, you could dismantle the bike and ship it as parts. Able Cargo is very reliable and cost effective shipping company http://www.ablecargo.com/ If collection is a problem, I can drop the bike off at a nearby shipper for crating and shipping, for this service the cost will be $20.00 for delivery to a company within 5 miles, anymore than 5 miles, an additional 50 cents per mile round trip is added to the $20.00 to cover gas and time. Payment $100.00 deposit is payable by Paypal after the close of the auction, bike can be released upon clearance of banker's draft, money order or personal check.
