Here is a great example of a reasonably priced muscle car made for cruising. It is a 1964 chevelle "SS", and yes it is a true ss. The car originally came with a straight six, and a power glide automatic tranny. Paint and body are in good shape, but not with out flaws. It does not have any rust. The current engine is a 327ci that has been bored 30 over, dipped and magnifluxed, and new cam bearings and crank, along with new rod and main bearings. This bad boy has 10:1 compression, the head were also leveled and new 2:02 valves and bronze guides were put in. The car definitely revs fast and smooth. The transmission is a Turbo 400 with a mild shift kit, and a B&M slap shifter. This chevy does have the stock rear end in it with 3:08 ratio......so it runs pretty nice down the road.
