1998 Ford Contour SVT. I bought this car about a year ago with the intention of putting a 3l motor in it. Since then, I have not had anytime to start the project, so it is time for it to go. Engine: Original motor - 174k miles - ENGINE MAKES A LOUD TICKING SOUND - presumably a spun rod bearing. It is fixable, but when replacement motors are $500, I don't see a reason for fixing it. Besides that, there are no other issues. It starts right up everytime and all other components are working fine. Suspension: No noises, drives pretty smooth. Could use an alignment, and should have the tires replaced soon due to age. Exterior: Large dent on driver's front door. Few small dings and scratches around the car. The paint is in good shape, but the bumpers do have some scrapes on them. Interior: PERFECT!! 100% intact and in better condition than my last contour that had half the miles on it. There is no radio in the car. All in all, a great project car. All it needs is a new engine, or you could drive it like it is until it blows up! I would recommend the vehicle be towed, unless it is only being driven a short distance. As far as shipping goes: I bought this car in Maryland and paid $550 to get it to the Los Angeles area (roughly 3000 miles). Not sure about any other distances. Thanks and good luck!!!!
