Vehicle Detail

1959 Cadillac 4 Door Flat Top This car was purchased by me 3 years ago from Wyoming, it was last registered in Wyoming in 1973 by a Pastor, It has 60 Thousand original miles. This is an extremely solid car, I removed the interior and the floor has no rust, the rust that is seen in the pictures is the dry rust from old age you can basically bush it off, it is not the metal eating rust from states that use salt on the roads. There were 2 small holes about 1" in diameter on the front fenders behind the the wheel, I cut the spots out and made patches, the cut outs are approx 2" x 2" , other than those 2 spots there was absolutely no other metal that was even close to rotten, I checked thoroughly under the doors, rear quarters, fins, floor, trunk…there is none. The gas tank is it it and in excellent condition, the trunk lock was pulled out and a small pit of repairable damage was done to the hole, I was going to put keyless entry to the trunk. The rear window is intact and not cracked or chipped, the other windows are missing, The front fenders, and hood are there but are removed. none of the sheet metal on the car has been smashed or in an accident, there are some minor dents and would need bodywork, but nothing other than that. It does have new black carpeting and a new rebuilt starter that has not been installed The motor is in it , but missing pieces, it did turn over when I bought the car, the transmission is also in it , the car does roll and brakes do work, I hooked a battery up to see if anything worked, and everything did, the lights, wipers, lighters and everything that should have worked did, the doors open and close very easily, they are not sagging or rusted. I intended on restoring the car to a "Rat Rod" style Cadillac but was deployed overseas, and had the car in climate controlled storage, but while I was gone the storage unit was broken into and all the parts I had taken off and new parts I had purchased for the car were stolen from it, all I have left is basically what is shown in the pictures, It would be a great foundation for a cool old skool style cruiser or a awesome parts car, I hate to let it go, but I do not have the time to put into the car anymore. The car does not have a title, but I have don't some research and they don't seem to be hard to get, and if you are buying it for parts, then you would not have to worry about a title. Now the car is sitting on a trailer outside, but until March it was kept inside. Please email me at worldtraveler1973@yahoo.com with any questions and I will reply as soon as possible, or you can also ask a question through here but it may take a bit longer for me to reply. Thank You This car is being sold as is, please ask questions or request more pictures before bidding, I will answer all questions ASAP..
