1977 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 4x4 V8 with power disc brakes, 4 speed transmission This FJ40 Land Cruiser was a daily driver in very original condition. It has just undergone a fairly extensive body-off restoration. Engine: 350 Chevy V8, 4-barrel conversion done with a brand new Advance Adapters V8 kit– which includes a new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. New master cylinder was installed. New alternator installed. New cap, rotor, and wires. New exhaust with welded Thrush mufflers. Engine was dismantled and put in new cam and lifters. Block was resealed. New water pump, oil pump and fuel pump. 4-speed transmission and transfer case are in perfect working order. The radiator was re-cored. Suspension & Wheels: 4” lift in the rear springs, 2” lift in front – to create a level stance. Brand new BFG KOs 35-12.50-15 tires installed. Rims in very good condition – no curb rash of any kind. Body: Brand new front fenders were installed, a new rear sill professionally welded in. Any remaining rust was cut out and replaced – welded in. The underside of the body was done with spray-in bed liner (like Rhino liner). The frame painted flat black. Body was painted piece by piece viper red, single stage acrylic enamel; top repainted white. New tail lights and side markers installed, new door mirrors, new HFS bumper. All new weather strip so the doors shut tight and do not rattle or leak. New black Bushwhacker fender flares and spare tire cover complement the viper red color. Interior: All new with 3 matching Corbeau Moab seats – the rear bench seat folds and tumbles forward for extra storage, fronts recline & slide. New carpet, full set front and rear with padding installed. The dash pad is ORIGINAL, even though it does have 3 little nicks in it, it is still far better than a dash cap. Same goes for the ORIGINAL, very nice condition door panels. New tinted windshield, rest of glass in fine shape. All gauges work, front and rear heaters work great. New light gray headliner (foam-backed cloth) installed. Emergency brake will hold on a hill! Runs strong, rides firm and tight. Drives great on the highway, although it won't set any speed records any time soon. Very fun to drive – even my wife says so. Gets LOTS of thumbs-up compliments and head turns.
