i bought this car on ebay(fort worth, fla.) in may 2003. owner's parents had bought car new.car had 136K when i got it. i drove it everyday until i retired 6 months later and bought a new truck. car has been kept in my garage since then getting driven very little as you can see by the mileage. when i got this car it had a full set of sheep skins, front , back,including head rest which account for the new condition of interior, car is rust free and starts and runs great. when i bought car i paid the man, then drove it for 13 hours straight , stopping for fuel twice. i would not hesitate in making the same trip with it today. car has had regular oil and filter changes. all brakes replaced at 160k miles. both rear axles replaced at 163k because rubber boot started leaking on one side.all windows and sun roof works as they should. vaccum door locks work as does original radio. great heater.now for the negitive--- a/c compressor bearing went out so i unplugged compressor. tranmisssion is slow to go in first gear.give it a couple seconds and you are good to go. i did a search and it points to a B-2 piston repair. i called two different garages in charlotte and was told i should overhaul transmission because of mileage.(bear in mind i've been driving it like this for about 2 years.)my problem is i have no mercedes machanic close by (charlotte is 40 miles away). i am wanting to sell car at a price where the new owner has room to fix the car and still not be to heavy into it money wise. i' ll answer all questions--704-279-2857(luke)
