Vehicle Detail

Please scroll down THROUGHOUT the entire auction. View all the pictures and video clips prior to asking questions, using the buy it now, or submitting a bid. I have spent many hours creating this auction. I am providing over 150 detailed pictures and video clips of this vehicle. UNLIKE most cars here on Ebay, I have big pictures of the body, engine bay, interior, and even the undercarriage so you KNOW EXACTLY what you are buying. I have tried to provide a detailed picture of every possible square inch of this car. I do not want to waste your time or mine and I want you to know EXACTLY what you are buying with NO surprises. Up for sale is my beautiful 1967 Pontiac Firebird.. I bought this car earlier this year. I have not done very much to this car at all. But I have driven it about 1000 miles now and have enjoyed every second of it. I absolutely LOVE this car as its hard to find them in this condition. However, I also own a 69' T/A clone, I am in the military and will be leaving soon......I would rather just keep 1 in storage then 2, so I am a motivated seller. And NO, the 69' is not for sale as Ive owned it for 13 years now. I have tried to place a buy it now price for this car that is CHEAPER then any other comparable 67'/68' Firebird that I have seen sell here on Ebay the last few weeks. BUT, I will consider serious offers so submit your offers. I WILL ACCEPT the highest offer the last day of the auction if no one uses the buy it now or makes me an offer that is appealing to me. I have the clean and clear notorized title in hand. This car is ready for a new proud owner of which I hope takes good care of it. My feedback tells the story so bid to buy. =) You can contact me by phone at: 513-464-TEN TWENTY, or you can of course use the ask a question link above in the auction. The body on this 1st Gen Bird had a mild restoration done on it about 1 year ago. The entire body and frame looks straight and solid. I personally did not do the restoration, but it appears to be 99% metal. The only place that I personally can find with any body filler is under the rear bumper on that lower panel....however you have to literly look under it to see it. Both doors, the hood, and the trunk lid open and close great with that hard to find solid "clicking" sound. They all have nice & original looking gaps and everything lines up nicely. All of the exterior lights including the turn signal lights work great. All of the glass including the windshield is also crack free. This classic muscle car was painted last year using a 2 stage base/clear "Viper Blue" paint. I have about a quart of paint(base) left that came with the car. The floorpan, trunkpan, lower door lips, and frame is extremely solid as seen in the detailed pictures below. The undercarrage of this car has apparently been prepped and painted. The undercarriage is a shiny black(possibly POR-15??)...and the frame is painted a light blue color that looks nice & clean. The rearend and suspension parts are also painted a clean shiny black color. Even the exhaust appears to have been coated with a high temp ceramic paint. It currently has a new set(less then 250 miles) of staggered "REV" TT2 17" wheels that look amazing on it. I also have a set of staggered 15" chrome wheels as pictured below for this car. I will put the 15" wheels back on this 67'BIRD for $650 less then the buy it now price if the buyer would prefer. Both sets do NOT go with the car. Overall cosmetically, It is an absolutely beautiful and cleancut car, but does have a few minute imperfections that I will nitpick in writing as well as clearly point out in the detailed pics below. The gastank has a small dent underneath it, but does not affect anything. All of the chrome including both bumpers are showing their age. The front bumper has a small(almost unknotecable) tweak/dent on the lower pass side of it. The paint has a nice shine, but has some imperfections that you have to actually look for. The entire car could use sanded & buffed out to an even better shine if you ask me. The drivers door lock & rear window trim is missing. I guess to sum it up, this car is NOT a showcar. But it is a serious attention grabber that is a beautiful driver! However, it would be hard to find another 67'BIRD that would be a better candidate for a future showcar. Ill let the detailed pictures of the body do the rest of the talking below....but please keep scrolling down to see pictures and video clips of the engine bay and interior. This is what it looks like with the optional 15" wheels for $650 less.... This 1967 Pontiac Firebird has a SBC V8 400 engine mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. The Engine has been bored out to a "406" and has a mild loping cam, a set of headers, along with other high perf parts. There is no exhaust leaks and all of the sound exits through a set of Flowmaster mufflers. The engine holds good oil psi. The clutch works and the transmission shifts into every gear. If you try to shift too fast without pushing the clutch all the way to the floor, then it will barely grind..but if you drive with common sense, then it shifts good into every gear without grinding....so if possible, the clutch *might* need adjusted. Im not sure what gear is in the rearend, but I would guess it has a 3:73. There is no wierd or abnormal mechanical sounds throughout the entire drivetrane. The 4 wheel drum brakes also work excellent and stop this car hard and straight. This car appears to have newer fuel lines, brake lines, and brakes. The engine itself does not look like it has many miles on its rebuild... It also has a red top Optima battery, however the battery will go dead if you leave the car sit for a few days. I just pop a battery cable off if I plan on not driving it for a few days. With all of this said, this car is very fast and very fun! It runs, shifts, drives, sounds, and handles good. I have driven it around quite a bit and it seems to be a good reliable and fun classic muscle car. The historical tags do not go with this car. Please view all the pics below, and scroll down to the interior category. This rare 67' Bird has a white leather interior. The interior is "presentable" and looks decent. The dash pad looks good as seen in pics. The door panels are decent. The center console is nice. The front bucket seats and rear bench seat are starting to discolor/age, but are still presentable. This classic does NOT have a headliner or rear tray. The carpet is black in color and is newer. The original GM seat belts are intact and work. The speedo, gas, aftermarket rpm, oil psi, temp, and alt gauges work good. The headlight and bright light switches work good. The windshield wiper motor is NOT intact. Both side windows roll up & down, however the drivers window falls off track sometimes. There is NO weatherstripping or stereo system installed in this car yet. The rear inner wheel whells inside the trunk appear to have been mini tubbed to fit a set of "Pro-Touring" style 10"+ rims? Also the gastank fuel neck is kind of wedged in there. Not sure what is going on there, but it works and it has a lockable lid with key. Ill let the rest of the pics do the talking... Please look at all interior pictures, and then scroll down to view the rest of this auction including the TERMS OF SALE at the very bottom... This Built V8 406 powered 1967 Pontiac Firebird is an absolutely beautiful car. It is a lot of fun to cruise around town. Pontiac does NOT make these cars anymore and this is the 1ST year of the 1ST generation that they did make. This Firebird is not perfect, but it is overall a beautiful classic muscle car that someone should be able to enjoy for many years to come! I do not think it will last the entire auction, but you never know. Anyway, I have had 2 or 3 different people ask me to take a picture of the cowl/firewall tag. With this said, here is a picture of the cowl tag and vin plate below. Thanks! On Jul-10-10 at 14:52:58 PDT, seller added the following information:UPDATE 10 JULY 2010: The phone calls and emails have been overwhelming with people interested in this 67'BIRD.... I keep hearing, "You have a good price on it", or "I would buy it right now, but I need to talk to the wife", or "I will buy it if the bank will loan me the money, let me get back with you"....etc.... Im surprised that the auction has lasted this long, but there are 4 days left & I drastically lowered the buy it now price to make it even more appealing! =)
