We just acquired this vehicle through trade. This VW is a very solid car. I checked the usual areas for rust and there is little to none to be found. The floor are rock solid, the area under the heater pipes above the drivers side rocker are solid, the area under the spare tire is perfect and the floor under the battery is solid. From looking over the car, I can't find any areas of rust repair or bondo work on the body. The paint job is probably a six out of ten but the body is very straight.
