Vehicle Detail
This is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, 390 S-code, 4-speed, 9" rear end car. All numbers matching. The car itself is rusted out and not for the faint of heart. It could be restored but not without a LOT of sheet metal repair work. This would be a perfect candidate for a rebody with one of the Dynacorn repro fastback bodies. The 390 engine and wide ratio 4-speed trans are numbers matching to the dash, door and fender/shock tower Ser. numbers. The rear end is also original to the car to the best of my knowledge. As we know, the S-code 390 is more rare than the 428CJ in the 1969 year. Mileage is unknown as the dash was missing when I got this car. When I got the car, I was told that the engine was seized from sitting for years. I've never had it apart so I can not say for sure if that is the problem. I tried pulling the distributor out and ended up breaking it off and the lower half of the distributor is still in the block which leads me to believe that it probably is seized from sitting. I did find a good used AG coded distributor for it though. I did fill the cylinders with diesel fuel to try and loosen it up but never did try to rotate it. The carburator is not the original although it is an Autolite 4300 (as it should be for 1969). The 4-speed is in very good shape with the original shifter, boots and knob. Rear end is a 9" with a 3.25:1 open rear. The car itself is missing the interior, side and rear glass and most of the front end components. What you see is what you get. There are some extra parts that go with car. Comes with 4 in total, chrome turbine wheels. The main selling feature of this car is it's drivetrain with matching Serial numbers. If you need to see more pictures please let me know. Car is movable with small wheels bolted to front of car. Will provide Bill of sale and transfer of ownership. We don't have Titles up here in Canada. Will not ship. You must pick up car within 2 weeks of close of auction. $500.00 non-refundable deposit required within 48 hours of auctions close and full payment required within 2 weeks of auctions close. I described this car to the best of my knowledge. Thanks and take care. I forgot to mention, comes with an Elite Marti Report. I've been getting a lot of questions from US bidders about how they would import a car from Canada into the United States...I really don't know. Being from Canada and not knowing US rules and regulations, you, the US bidder, will have to do your homework and find out from your end on how to import a car From Canada. I'm not a dealer, just a private seller so I'm not up on how to do any of this. The only information I have is two web sites.... www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import. and http://forms.cbp.gov/pdf/CBP_Form_7501.pdf. Which includes information and I think a couple of forms that have to be filled out. Contact US customs or your local DMV for the full story. I will provide a Bill of Sale and a Transfer of Ownership only. Manitoba, Canada does not have vehicle Titles. I have imported vehicles from the US into Canada and it is quite simple but I have no idea on what is involved when importing vehicles from Canada into the US. So please do your homework. Thanks again and take care. I've included pictures of the serial numbers from under each fender on the shock towers.
