Up for your consideration is this 1996 Chevy cavalier. I got this car from a friend and my intention was to fix it up. But due to low finances, I need to sell it. It is an extra car right now and I need the money more than I need the car. Plus I just don't have the time or space to fix it. It has a purple exterior and gray interior with a manual 5 speed transmission. Engine runs good and strong and car is pretty solid. The body of the car has very little rust, the biggest spot is right at the front of the car by the chevy emblem as you can see on the photos. The under carriage has some rust. The paint is scatched up in some places. I don't know if it can be buffed out or it may have to be touched up. it appears that it is only surface marks, but some are pretty extensive. There is a dent above the left side headlight on the hood. I can tell you the the car does need a little work. It needs new rear brake shoes and possibly rear drums. The short brake line from the wheel to the flex hose is leaking a little - $4.99 part at Autozone. I replaced the rear brake lines from the master cylinder back to the rear flex hoses with new metal lines. The A/C works, but the compressor is on its way out. The pulley on the A/C compressor is starting to make noise. If you don't care about the A/C, you can just get a shorter serpentine belt and bypass it. You may also be able to find one at a local pick and pull scrap yard or here on ebay. I believe the battery needs to be charged, but the car starts right up with a jump, and if left idling for a while, it will start again without a jump. Please be sure to ask questions. Buyer will be responsible for vehicle pick up or shipping. Car runs and drives but I would recommend towing or trailering it due to the brake issue.
