History of the Car - An old lady bought this Nova in 1977. Between 1977 to 1993, she put 47,000 miles on the car. In 1993, she turned in her license at the age of 92 and sold the car to her neighbor across the street. He had it as a second car and put only 5,000 miles on the car until he parked it in his barn in 2002 (the last time it was inspected). I purchased the vehicle and drove it the 18 miles to my garage - The car had no issues during my trip. These are the basics of the car: - 52,000 original miles - Inline 6 Cylinder Engine (good gas milage) - Manual Steering - Manual Brakes - 3 Speed Manual Transmission (3 on the tree) - Hatchback with fold down rear seats. - Great Body - “Custom” tape deck stereo. - Great starter for a project. The Good - The body of this car is in great shape for the year. With minimal effort, this vehicle could be an awesome first car or a fun weekend cruiser. If you are into racing, the manual steering and brakes are a plus and the engine can be easily converted to a V8 for racing. The car is solid and an unmolested original - if you are looking for a vehicle of this vintage for a project, this one would be an excellent candidate. The Bad - At some point, someone did some repairs on the rear quarters. It does not look scary, but something to check out. The car is not currently inspected. These are things I saw that need repaired for inspection: - Holes in the front passenger floor and the spare tire well in the trunk. - Seals replaced around doors & hatch (cause of floor pan rusting). - Catalytic converter needs replaced. - Other stuff? Note that I had to shrink all of these pictures to make them fit into the email - I do have larger/more clear copies of these files that I can send if you tell me which one you are interested in. I am not trying to hid anything on this one, but I haven't spent much time with this vehicle so there may be things I have overlooked.
