Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my wife's 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. We have owned this vehicle for nearly three years and have driven it only a little over 2000 miles. It has been stored under wraps in our climate-controlled shop and obviously only driven on rare occasions. We are the third adult owners of this vehicle. It has never been raced or abused in any way as its condition speaks for itself. As evidenced by the pictures, the car is black on black. The interior shows no wear whatsoever and includes the original factory floor mats. The electric seats work perfectly as does the power windows. I have had a local GM dealership replace the drivers' side window motor as it was a bit sluggish. The air conditioning blows cold. The optional factory installed six speaker Monsoon 500 watt stereo system will rock the neighborhood. It includes the in-dash CD changer. The t-tops are in perfect condition with no scratches or cracks. They fit snugly as they should. The six-speed transmission is operated by the factory installed Hurst shifter. I have both of the original remote control key fobs for the car. The black exterior paint is shiny as new. There is one minor paint scratch on the driver's door handle as shown in the picture. Evidently a previous owner had the handle re-adjusted after the "rub". On a scale of eight to ten, I would give the paint condition a rating of 8.75 as there are the usual very minor rock chips along the rocker panels and behind the wheels. It is definately in above average condition for a car showing 50+ thousand miles. The head lights open and close perfectly. The wheels are in great shape and show no curb damage. The tires are nearly new and were on the car when I purchased it. Please note the pictures. The engine is the 5.7 LS1 with the ram air package. It is purely stock, just as it came from the factory and stills breaths the rated 335 hp. There have been absolutely no alterations to the engine or the exhaust system. My son works at a GM dealership and I have had them check the car from bumper to bumper. The engine compartment is spotless. The engine runs smooth and shows no signs of leaks or unusual wear. I have installed a new Interstate battery. The transmission is quiet and smooth as well as the clutch and brakes. This is your opportunity to purchase one of the last true American muscle cars. As we all know, 2002 was the last year for the Firebird and that Pontiac will soon cease to exist. I would anticipate the value of this car will simply increase over the long haul. The car can be driven anywhere as its mechanical integrity speaks for itself. Like I mentioned, it has been fully "examined" by a local GM dealership. We hate to see the car go, but simply need the storage space. This is the fourth Firebird I have owned, the first one a 1967. I must say it by far has been the best. Our loss is your gain. Believe me, you will not be disappointed in this vehicle. We are looking to sell, not trade, so please don't ask. If you have questions or would like to discuss the vehicle in detail, call Mark at (317) 512-5386. The winning buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping. We live in the Indianapolis metro area, so a fly-in and drive off would not be an issue. I require a $500 down payment within 48-hours from the end of the auction and full payment and vehicle pick-up within seven days from the end of the auction. Payment must be in cash or by certified bank check. Thanks for looking!
