1989 Mercedes Benz 300TE Wagon Gasoline engine, straight 6, automatic. Sunroof. Beige. Daily commuter for me, has issues but lots of good qualities. Odometer stopped working just over 212,000 (guessing it has about 230,000 now.) Head gasket done last summer, water pump about 1 1/2 yrs ago, front brakes done last summer. The interior is in great shape, hardly any wear on the leather and back seats fold down so there is a ton of room. Body is also great with one tiny bit of rust the size of a dime below back window near antenna. Tires are in decent shape and there is a full size spare. Also an Alpine stereo with cd player. Issues are: Exhaust tail pipe broke off at muffler and I haven't replaced it so car has no inspection sticker. For some reason it is not very loud so I don't worry about it. Transmission shifts hard and doesn't shift easily out of 1st gear (told it is a vacuum modulator-common on these cars.) Top coat is coming up in a couple spots on the roof. It needs a coolant flush. The exterior is in great shape with one good deep ding that I can't do anything about. A/C isn't cold so needs to be charged. Theres some smaller issues like cracked winshield washer resevoir and rear passenger door opens hard. I might be forgetting a couple things but listed the major concerns. I drive this everyday and it is such a great highway car. I planned to overhaul it, but will likely never get to it. This would be good for someone who also really likes this model and has the time to do the work. You could also cherry-pick the parts or run it until its death. Might make a good beach house car taht you don't have to worry about. Either way it's quite a cool car for little money. If it doesn't sell I'll keep driving it, no problem. I'm listing it on craigslist too so will end auction if it sells. I didn't wash it before taking the pictures but it still looks good. The wheels clean up real nice after getting the brake dust out. I keep the interior spotless. Pick up is best or I can deliver up to 50 miles for the price of the gas. Please email me any questions.
