Vehicle Detail

For your consideration is my 1981 Chevrolet Corvette which has had a lot of money invested in it over the last six years. I hate to see it go but after many hours of work and a LOT of money I have decided it is time to let someone else enjoy this beautiful car. This Corvette has been meticulously maintained over the years and has always been an Oklahoma vehicle since new. It has never been wrecked or flooded, or hailed on, or abused throughout its life. I have spent a lot of time and invested a lot of money over the years in order to keep the car perfect!!! It has all new interior (leather seat inserts, new seat cushions, new carpet, etc.), all new weather stripping, glass T tops, excellent tires, all new brakes, rotors, pads, etc., all new exhaust system from the engine headers to the tail pipes, new headlight actuators, new emblems, etc. Every part invested in the car is new, orginal GM parts with the exception of the carb. I was never a fan of the Rochester Quadrajet Carb and replaced it with a 600 CFM Carter (brand new, of course). Better performance and better fuel economy. The suspension system is all new including bushings, sway bar, shocks, etc. Any item not perfect on the car was replaced with geniune parts. It runs perfect, does not smoke, and every item works on the car. It is hard loaded from the factory and is equipped with the following: Automatic transmission, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Cruise Control, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Power Door Locks, Power Driver Seat, AM/FM Cassette (I have replaced the radio with a CD Player (High Dollar) and all new speakers but I do have the original AM/FM Cassette player that is included in the sale. It blows COLD air. It does not "Rabbit Hunt" going down the road (a good indication of worn front end, alignment, etc...) This classic example of the C3 body style Corvette is ready to go. I know of nothing that needs attention that hasn't already been fixed. The last couple of years it has rarely seen the outside of the garage except to drive it to car shows or a quick hop around town. Now it is taking up needed garage space and relunctantly I am offering it at auction. With the economy in it's present shape and the price of antique and classic cars down this is a prime time to invest in good, clean classic cars. The Corvette is the American Dream Car and worthy of collecting. You can research values all day long but the bottom line is you will be hard pressed to buy a Corvette at a lower price than now. These cars are "sleepers" at this time and the value will indeed increase over the next few years. I (honestly) was offered $14,000 for this car in 2007 but was not in a mood to even consider it at that time. Since priorities (and the depth of one's wallet) change over the years it is now time to sell it at what I know will be a considerable discount over 2007 prices. Keep in mind this Corvette will be 30 years old next year and will take a "jump" in value due to the age of the car. Check out the NADA or Edmunds value for a 1981 Corvette. I assure you the book values are much greater than what you can buy a good, clean, well maintained Vette for. A very good sign that these cars are drastically under valued at this time. I have a very modest reserve set on the car and will stay firm at that reserve. If you are considering investment in a Corvette I encourage you to come take a look at this car during the auction. I am located in the Okahoma City, Oklahoma area and will answer any and all e-mail questions quickly and honestly. I will entertain trades such as cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, PWC, etc. Please, no Lear Jets (they are gas guzzling hogs) and no ex wives (too many of those already). I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the winning bid and full payment within 7 days of the auctions end. I have no way to deliver the car but will assist the buyer in delivery on my end as far as getting it loaded, etc.... It is the buyers' responsibility to pay for any and all costs associated with delivery of the car. I have a clear Okahoma title and there are no liens on the Corvette. I have a 100% satisfied rating on e-Bay and expect the high bidder to follow through with the transaction. Low or no feedback check with me first before bidding. I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time if I get a good offer on the car. IF YOU ARE HONESTLY INTERESTED IN THE CAR CALL ME!!!! I can be reached at 405-420-4733. My e-mail address is: skyseller@aol.com. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!!
