You are bidding on a 97 honda civic hatchback cx. When i purchased this car the owner told me he had replaced the engine entirely becuase the pervious engine had a blown head gasket and didnt want to go throught the trouble with future problems so i purchased the car with roughly 60k on the engine since the engine had been replaced the (check engine light stays on ) but ive had had no problems at all, this is normal for hondas a mechanic can get the light to go off for you if it makes you feel any better. I test drove this car to make sure that there was nothing wrong with it and it runs really strong, also the clutch engauges great no slippin at all. This car is a base model meaning it is the lightest of the hatchbacks, however honda didnt provide this car with any power options. I bought this car about a year ago and did the 2000 front conversion with the fogs and type r lip(everything brand new)the lip has a little crack in it from installation but once painted and bonded you will never be able to tell and the black hood is the 2000 hood shown in the picture the one on there now doesnt line up because its from the 97 i havent had time to put that hood on yet, all it needs now it paint. I also replaced the suspension with kyb gr-2 shocks and struts, dropzone coilovers which ride suprisingly well. I also replaced the stock camber kits to adjustable front and rear, with my weight in the car the tires rub so i would recommend raising it a little bit, but the front only rubs when the wheel is turned more than half way, simply raising the coilovers will fix that rubbing, i left it lowered because i think it handles a bit better. Also the car has 2 new axles i had put on about 500 miles ago, i replaced the stock front rotors with drilled rotors and i replaced the rear stock drum brakes with acura integra disc brakes. The wheels are rota slipstreams with no scratchs at all, tires are falken ze502 and have about 95% tread left. there is a crack in the windshield but has a valid inspection til 6/2011, the oil has been changed every 3k with mobil 1 synthetic. The car used to be a dark blue the previous owner had it painted dupont white its a really pretty white. It has a cd player and aftermarket speakers the radio works ok but when i replaced the fender for the conversion, i didnt put a whole in it for the antenna so the reception isnt all that great, i also installed a short shifter in replace of the shock shifter and thule roof rack with 1 bike compartment. test drives are more than welcome Happy BiddingOn Jul-01-10 at 10:20:23 PDT, seller added the following information: the black hood has a little dent in the nose about the size of a quarter easy fix its a smooth dent and i little bend in the corner by the window, all from shipping i didnt have time to ship it back, i appoligize for the late description i asure you that the hood is not in terrible condition On Jul-04-10 at 12:02:00 PDT, seller added the following information: ive had a question about the intake on the enigine and id like to clearify this for everyone bidding, theres is no intake tube coming off the box this is how i purchased the vehicle, however there is a filter inside the box, i was concerned about it so i asked my mechanic if this was a problem and he replied no as long as the filter is in there everything is fine. plus it makes the little 4 cylinder sound pretty good. Also i forgot to mention that the button for the foglights gets stuck everynow and then because this car didnt come stock with them, so you just have to push it a few times and itll release or you could take it out and shave down the compartment that houses the switch, if you pick the car up i can show you how it works very simple
