Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car in 2007 when I was starting a small collection of cars that I had enjoyed or admired when they were new. (66 Mustang, 67 Seville etc.). This was just for my enjoyment in a shop I owned but it was necessary to move the "collection" outdoors in 2008. This car was near perfect when I purchased it and while it was covered outside, the Arizona sun and the crowded space resulted in some chips and scratches as well as the car not having the shine it did when I bought it. The only problem when I bought the car was a small oil leak which I had repaired (small crack in bellhousing - $1450) and the car has no leaks now. The car was fully restored around 1990 and the trophies or awards shown on the car are mainly from that era although one is dated 2003. I presume the mileage is what has been driven since the restoration. The car is exceptionally tight with the doors closing with a solid sound. All glass is perfect. The interior does not have any cracks on tears. The radio works but it takes a while to warm up. The tires have decent tread but they are old and probably suffer from dry rot. The original owners manual and an advertising sheet for 1967 Corvairs are included along with many receipts and records. Also included is set of 4 wheel covers as pictured. This is the last of the collection to go but at 70 years old, I prefer the automatics and air conditioning at this stage of my life. The pictures show the scratches (there is one on the hood, a deep one on the drivers side front fender and there is paint chip where the passenger door meets the body when closed. There may be some other minor chips but those are the major ones. Please email me with any questions. salstacy@yahoo.com On Jun-30-10 at 11:44:57 PDT, seller added the following information: The correct VIN is 105377W115575. Also, I was reminded that the brake pedal needs to be depressed more than normal. I was told that it needs a brake adjustment or that the linings are worn. I presume the linings were replaced when it was restored but in any event, I am reducing the reserve and buy it now price by $200.On Jul-02-10 at 07:04:26 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to questions, yes the car does have seat belts.
